Back in the day, I used to audition (a lot!) . . . many radio stations, commercials, even worked on a couple of movies.

When you are in a casting call, everyone LOVES to brag about 'what they have coming up' or what they recently did.

MOST of those 'stories' turned out to be 'fake news' designed to erode the confidence of the 'competition' . . .

Real estate has LOTS of 'arm wavers' showing off pretty much everywhere. Just open your social media, LOL 

Tune out the noise, and stay your course.

F Scott Fitzgerald famously wrote in a letter to his daughter Scottie at camp a list of things for her to worry, and NOT worry about.

Two stick out in my mind a lot . . .

"Don't worry about anyone getting ahead of you"

and

"Things to think about:
What am I really aiming at?"


Last word: Find things to celebrate every day, for YOU, and multiply your blessings!

Hi Candice- I think this happens in many professions and our personal lives. When I staffed offices, there were consultants who worked at other offices who no matter how bad the market was would always say how great they were doing. I learned early on to turn a deaf ear to their "fake news."    Libra

But to compare 'them' with 'us' . . . our journeys are all ours and ours alone, and we can move faster or slower or change direction entirely as we choose! 💖💖💖

Yes, I totally agree. While we can learn possible new ways of doing things from paying attention to what others are doing, being better than we were the day before is where our real growth comes from. And that comes from paying attention to our own selves!
