~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~I was part of a FB mastermind group recently where someone asked what would be the 1 thing you would change about FB if you had the power to change anything (short of eliminating it). What's the one thing you would you change about the platform? For some of you I bet something came immediately to mind (do share). For others, it probably takes a few minutes to peel things back and identify 1 key thing worth changing. Maybe your list has more than 1 thing, that's ok to. What change(s) do you want to see?Did you know...1.56 billion people log onto Facebook each day!I often get asked why I do not showcase personal profiles on Facebook Fridays (I have made 1 exception over the years). I only promote business pages because I want you and I to stay on the right side ...

Blogging provides different things for different folks. When I first found Active Rain I wasn't even sure what a blog was. After awhile I discovered that if used as a marketing tool it could and does make the phone ring. Eventually I started to know some people who were experienced, wise and kind. These bloggers became people I met, whether online, by telephone and even on occasion in person. I used to wait for gold stars or featured posts. They don't come my way and I no longer expect them no matter what I put forth. I blog every day as a sort of discipline. Discipline is a good thing to have and has helped me hone my writing skills. I look forward to seeing people I like and respect here and that is enough for me.

He acquired a lot of knowledge about mechanics. By the time he was 21, he was running his own machinery shop in Savannah, Georgia. His first invention was a shingle-cutting machine, but was unable to market it.He returned to New York where he invented a machine for a cotton and hay press, a seed planter and a lathe cutting machine. He also invented a grain drill which won him a prize from the Franklin Institute in 1849. Shortly thereafter he began working as an editor for The Banner of the Union Newspaper. Homeowners, so you think selling a house is so easy?  Really?   You can just place your for sale by owner sign on your front yard and buyers will come running. You don't need to hire a Realtor®. You can save all the commission and the buyers are still going to make those high offers because they know you don't have to pay an Agent.   Wait...Let's Rethink This ~     Keep taking this attitude because you don't really want to sell your house. Here are 8 other tips to help you NEVER sell your house...     1. Pricing ~ The most important step is pricing your house properly. So price it higher than the competition.   2. Condition ~ Ignore its condition. Why pay money on repairs when you aren't going to be living there anymore?   3. Market Trend ~ Don't pay any attention to today's market. It ...

Your interpretation may be different! Following is my selection of this week's thoughts of a hiker(s).  7-10-18 Thankful that this log book has not been destroyed by day hikers.  For some reason, many of the blogs, posts and comments I've been reading on various web sites lately seem to be focused on being present. Air conditioning system serves the extremely crucial function of keeping your home cool throughout the summertime. Preserving a relatively consistent temperature and humidity in your house through the change of seasons is not just essential to stay comfy but also to protect your home, as fast modifications in temperature level and humidity can cause wood floors and wood furniture or cabinets to expand and contract and develop gaps. Since air conditioning and your entire HVAC system are so crucial to preserving a continuous and comfortable temperature level and a stable home, it is very crucial that you get a/c repair service when you need it.When it pertains to repairing your air conditioning unit, though, you can't simply rely on any repair company or repair man to come into your home....

There are many reasons why a homeowner decides to sell their house and move. The latest Generational Trends Report from the National Association of Realtors asked recent home sellers to share their reason for moving. The younger the respondents, the more likely their top response centered around needing a larger home (ages 29 to 53). Relocating for a job was the top reason for those ages 54 to 63 and the second most popular response for those under 53. The chart below shows the breakdown for these two reasons. For homeowners over the age of 64, wanting to be closer to friends and family served as the top motivator to move. Downsizing to a smaller home or moving due to retirement came in as a close second and third. Have you outgrown your current house? Are you a homeowner who can relat...

Building your own desk can certainly provide that same level of satisfaction.   Planning Your Desk If you are taking the time to build your own desk, you want to make sure that it's comfortable. NO MAN CARED FOR MY SOULPSALM 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.MATTHEW HENRY'S COMMENTARY When our spirits are overwhelmed by distress, and filled with discouragement; when we see snares laid for us on every side, while we walk in his way, we may reflect with comfort that the Lord knoweth our path. Those who in sincerity take the Lord for their God, find him all-sufficient, as a Refuge, and as a Portion: every thing else is a refuge of lies, and a portion of no value. BARNES' NOTES No one sought to save my life; no one regarded it as of sufficient importance to attempt to preserve me. PULPIT COMMENTARY No man cared for my soul; or, "looked after my soul".

I love stories. In particular those told in movie theaters. I also love books. When I open a book to read I am immediately transported into the story. Stories are powerful ways to get a point across. People can relate so much better to stories than to dry facts. As a real estate agent I find that if I can make a point with a story to a client it is much better received. So, the next question any many minds would be, where do you get the stories from? Well, for me, it comes from life and being engaged in Real Estate. By being involved daily, I see and hear many stories unfold that have meaning for others. Being able to remember these lessons for others helps and agent get across information that the recipient will more likely remember and act upon. So, the next time an agent answers your q...
