Looking to visit one of the most charming small towns in the region? As we wrote about before, Jim Thorpe offers scenic train rides to take in the fall foliage. However, this is only one of the many ways to see and enjoy this area! Jim Thorpe is at its most charming in the fall months, providing all kinds of activities to take advantage of beautiful colors and crisp weather. One way to enjoy the spooky season in this historic town is by going on a Ghost Walk in Old Mauch Chunk. Jim Thorpe is full of rich history, and this provides several instances of reported ghost sightings in the town! Enjoy hearing about supernatural encounters and stories of the historic buildings up and down Broadway, the main street throughout downtown. These walks are a mile long and not scary as much as intrigu...

For those of us that grew up in San Diego, we remember the faces in this blooper reel. Including the man who was the real inspiration for the fictional Ron Burgundy. Now that TV station KGTV has hit it's 70th anniversary, they have compiled these blooper reels for all of us who grew up in San Diego can appreciate. (BTW, listen closely to what she is referring to in the golf story)

Higher oil prices lifted "headline" CPI (consumer inflation), but "core" CPI continued to ease - and the Fed cares more about "core" when it comes to its interest rate policy. But even with 30-yr mortgage rates above 7%, home prices continue to move up month-over-month. The lack of inventory introduces a supply and demand issue typical of all economic markets.  The supply issue is easing slightly as we enter the typical autumn slow down.  The real estate market is still very solid and we are not expecting anything dramatic until the end of the year.  I don't want to say that this is normal market but that is the situation.   Call me anytime, I love to talk business and get your opinion on what we are going to see going forward.

You will find Beacon Point East of E-470 and North of Smoky Hill in Southeast Aurora,  Arapahoe County.   Beacon Point has been a highly sought-after neighborhood due to the executive homes and the location close to Aurora Reservoir and all within Cherry Creek School District.   Beacon Point is located in zip code 80016.  There are approximately 875 homes in Beacon Point.  And, although this is a larger neighborhood, we don't see much activity.  Homeowners enjoy living in Beacon Point with the amenities and surrounding beauty!   Homes in Beacon Point range from 1,874 square feet to 6,718 finished square feet and range in price from $450,000 and some now topping the $1 million price point.    Homes were built from 2005 to 2017.   You will find a few homes with a 2-car garage, most hav...

The Town of Larkspur is located 40 miles south of Denver and West of I-25.   The town was incorporated in 1979 and today is known for the Renaissance Festival held every year in Larkspur and the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Campground.   Most homes in Larkspur are on lots of one acre or more and surrounded by trees.   You will see lots of wildlife - deer, mountain lions, bears (brown & black), foxes, coyotes, and lots of birds.  Going to the grocery store will require a trip to Castle Rock, and depending on where in the town you live, it could be 15 minutes.   There isn't much in the "town", but a gas station, post office, three restaurants, and of course two golf courses with restaurants.   Bear Dance Golf Course is closer to I-25, and Perry Park Golf Course is on the West side of town. The...

A Luxury Home can be identified differently in cities across the country, but in Denver, my Luxury blog posts will report on detached single-family homes listed in the Denver metro area for over $1.3 million.  (Over the years I have used $1 million as luxury, but with our rising home values, had the need to increase this amount.)  Some have mountain and/or city views, and some properties back to a golf course, or have water views all to compliment one's lifestyle.  (however, we don't have much water)  Some are updated with products from around the world, and some have expansive square footage or acreage.     Whatever a Buyer is looking for, most likely if you have over $1.3 million, you can find it in Denver or in the surrounding suburbs.     Here is how the luxury market fared for the ...
