I am sure you heard about homeowner’s insurance in Florida, carriers leaving the state and with the number of hurricanes in recent years it is no wonder.  There still are choices and if you do your homework you can find reasonable coverage. Of course, I have a guy for that!Just last week I helped a lady that was sight impaired with homeowner’s insurance.  Let me tell you about her home, built in 1991, a frame house, new roof and she recently bought the home so she had a home inspection that included a Wind Mitigation and 4-Point Inspection.  She does not have a vehicle so no bundling for car insurance which can lower cost on both home and auto and her annual rate is $1,368.  Thank you, Kyle, for her great rate!Let’s bury some myths about homeowner’s insurance in The Villages and surroun...

As a home inspector in New Jersey, one thing that I have to be aware of when performing home inspections is the presence of lead paint an older New Jersey homes. Lead was a common component used in paint until the late 1970s. Lead paint does present significant health risks even to this day. It is advantageous for home inspectors in New Jersey to understand the basics of lead paint so we can educate our clients regarding the potential hazards. Lead paint presents a significant health risk to both the very young, old and to pregnant women.Lead in paint was used up until the late 1970s. Lead used as a component in paint became popular and prevalent because it aided in color pigmentation of the paint. Paint manufacturers could now create vibrant colors with the help of lead. The lead in pa...

Now that the market is slowing down a bit with higher average days on market, many buyers are able to take a breath before whipping out their check books on a house that just hit the market.  They are receving the luxury of thinking about a possible purchase for more than a nano-second (for most houses in most markets.) As a buyer, you want to learn as much as possible about your future home.  After all you are buying it to live in for at least a few years - so shouldn't you take at least a few minutes to learn about it?  Yes, you will have the house inspected, but why not do a little research up front so that you are better informed on what you are buying and what you should be paying for it.  Many of these reasons will not be identified by a home inspection so you need to do the sleut...

Primarily a safe place to live in Florida and Pensacola is that, making it a great place to move to with your family. The majority of people moving to Pensacola come from other areas in Florida or New York, Chicago, and Boston in search of single-family homes, apartments, and waterfront homes and stay because of the affordability. Some places within Pensacola are Gulf Breeze, Oriole Beach, East Hill, and Belmont-DeVilliers. Although all of Pensacola is known to be safe, Ferry Pass North, Mallory Heights, Pensacola Station, and Paradise Beach are some neighborhoods that are named for their extra safety.   Click Here For The Newest ListingIn Pensacola Florida and the surrounding area. https://www.visitpensacola.com/ is as up-to-date as one can get on the area's happenings. KISS my WHAT?! Believe it or not, the concept of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) was coined by the U.S. Navy as part of their systems goals. In design school, the same phrase became a desired result to be gained by avoiding the overly-complicated. My professor told me that people in business prefer an informed, straight forward approach, rather than sugar-coating or beating around the bush to prove a point. That advice stuck and determines how I continue to practice. "So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads." ~Dr. Suess From the time, I get the call for real estate guidance, everything becomes set in motion. Diligently working behind the scenes, to gather all necessary information that becomes an integral part of the real estate transac...
