There was a cruise ship that broke down 3 hours before departure. In a panic the cruise line called out their "big guns" in-house maintenance crew who arrived with 15 mechanics and technicians that toiled away for 60 minutes. No Luck, no repair. In a bigger panic the cruise line Googled the best 5 Star maintenance crew and had them rushed out to the cruise ship. They arrived with all the latest high tech electronics and tools, digital this and computerized that, where they toiled away for 90 minutes. No Luck, no repair. With 30 minutes before a fully booked boat was to depart for the Mediterranean, one of the lower ranking brass offered,  "You know us locals always us this old guy that seems to work magic with boats, cars and engines, we should try him."With nothing left to lose except hu...

When we bought this place 10 years ago we had nice Palm Trees, three of them together, not too tall and were the perfect size.  Living in Pennsylvania I always dreamed of owning my own Palm Trees.  Well over the years my Palm Trees became telephone poles, look out the window and you saw three poles.  My landscaper said one was completely dead and for $300 he would take it down.  Knowing what the going rate for removal I thought go ahead, one down two to go.After researching on social media, Googling the company and finally interviewing the tree guy I am going to give this tree guy a shot.  He is going to take down my last two Palm Trees, remove all three stumps, clean up and have top soil so only thing left to do would be put down sod.  I did not tell him what I did for a living until h...

Are you thinking about waiting to sell your home in Jacksonville because you're not sure if it's a good time? I want to reassure you that the real estate market is still active, even though it's not as crazy as it was a few years ago. People are still buying homes, and houses are selling every day.To put it simply, here's what the numbers look like: According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), over 4 million homes are expected to sell this year. That means about 11,000 homes are selling every day, or around 8 homes every minute. To understand how this affects you, it's a good idea to talk to a local real estate expert. They can give you information about how many homes are selling in your neighborhood, the advantages of selling right now, and what buyers are looking for in yo...

Why Is Housing Inventory So Low?One question that’s top of mind if you’re thinking about making a move today is: Why is it so hard to find a house to buy? And while it may be tempting to wait it out until you have more options, that’s probably not the best strategy. Here’s why. There aren’t enough homes available for sale, but that shortage isn’t just a today problem. It’s been a challenge for years. Let’s take a look at some of the long-term and short-term factors that have contributed to this limited supply.Underbuilding Is a Long-Standing ProblemOne of the big reasons inventory is low is because builders haven’t been building enough homes in recent years. The graph below shows new construction for single-family homes over the past five decades, including the long-term average for hous...

Feeling like you've outgrown your current space?  I think that when most, (More than 79%)  people think of homes, they think of single family detached.  There are different options.  Highest and best use use is a term that realtors and developers use regarding property.  What is the best use of a certain property?  A good way to maximize a certain plot of land is to put in zero lot line homes OR town homes.  Not everyone wants a yard.  So if you need more space consider all options.  Wanting to move closer to family (or further away 😉)? Just ready for a change? However you're feeling, whatever your reasons, if you're getting ready to buy a new home I should be your first stop.Let's get together and figure out your game plan!#thehelpfulagent #home #houseexpert #house #listreports #icanhel...
