Having the right tools is critical not just in real estate but in cooking as well.... Tonight's meal was interrupted with a few technical issues, nothing that I could not overcome thanks to having the right tools.
Well, the Pizza Stone cracked in the middle of my baking.... Keep in mind my meal was inspired by Debe Maxwell, CRS about the Maryland Cauliflower Crabcake Pizza Recipe. Since Diane loves Crabcakes from Maryland thought this would be a great way to finish up her birthday vacation. Anyway, as you can see the pizza stone decided to retire tonight:)

The countdown has started Friday for Diane's Birthday... she started receiving gifts in the mail. I figured I would start it early too. Now with that said the package from Shari's Berries arrived. Gratefully I also ordered different flavors of Pretzels she is more into that than chocolate covered Strawberries. Needless to say, we needed to have the formal celebration and I did not want to order a cake. Oh well, so we have been having one Strawberry after dinner.
Lesson learned stick with cupcakes and pretzels:)

I made a Clam Corn Chowder! Have you ever made one like this? In all fairness I saw a recipe on the interned about a creamy Corn and Clam Chowder ..... and after I read the recipe... I just said Hmm not a good idea. Nevertheless, it gave me the inspiration to make my version.
I reached out to one of my favorite Chef's cookbooks: 50 Chowders ... by Jasper White I looked at about five or six of his various recipes and based on that I created my own.

Wordless Wednesdays: what did you have for dinner tonight?... well, I made a Tortellini pasta with mushrooms, tomatoes and leftover chicken breasts. If I did not tell you unlikely you would know the chicken was leftover.
Diane loved it and wanted to know the difference how I made it before? Well, I used Shitake mushrooms and King Oyster mushrooms & five cheese Tortellini form Italy. Made a huge difference:)

Just Sold: 2152 Groveland Dr Los Angeles CA 90046 I am thrilled for the seller; this land was in escrow with the first buyer who flaked.... or may I say changed directions, I had a hard time to get the Earnest Money Deposit into Escrow and it was even harder to get the Cancellation Document signed....
Now with that said I was thrilled to have a backup buyer in place, the second buyer performed!!

Wordless Wednesdays: Improved on Chef Morimoto's meal... well those who know me know I love to improve on all the recipe's I read. Why would it be any different from the Iron Chef?
Now with that said I had taken two of the three packs and added chicken stock and chicken bone broth instead of water. Then I opted to add fresh Shitake Mushrooms and some fresh Wild Mushrooms to the meal.! Yes, I also added some shrimp potstickers to it too:)))
Needless to say, it was a total winner. Bone Appetite:))

Are you familiar with the Wounded Warrior Project? As a very brief synopsis, Charity Navigator rates this organization at a 97% for transparency and 89% for financial handling. No less than 70% of the financial donations go directly to the Wounded Warriors in one form or another. I chose to donate to this organization last year when a veteran relative of Diane's passed away suddenly last year.
