evergreen: Ask An Ambassador: Evergreen Posts Keep Going - 10/18/22 10:50 AM
It's been over 2 years since I've written a consumer facing blog post.
After blogging daily for almost 10 years it was time for a break, a nice long break.  I've honored a commitment to produce Ask An Ambassador posts every Tuesday, but I've passed on writing more consumer facing content.  It's not that there aren't opportunities, I've just chosen to use my time elsewhere.
That choice might seem foolish on the surface, but there's something working on our behalf until I'm ready to pick up the keyboard and produce more consumer content.

evergreen: Ask An Ambassador: The Power Of Evergreen Posts - 09/24/19 01:56 PM
Last Friday a potential patio home buyer reached out to me.
She was interested in a specific patio home community.
She's already driven through, had a friend the moved to the neighborhood, knew she liked the area.

Admittedly, some posts are MEANT to have a short shelf life.  When we write about a local event or post a … (50 comments)

evergreen: Ask An Ambassador: What's The Expiration Date Of Your Blog Posts? - 11/04/13 10:03 PM
Ask An Ambassador:  What's The Expiration Date Of Your Blog Posts?
We all want more business from blogging, right?  But one of the keys to making the phone ring is giving the consumers what they want, and as much as possible WITHOUT an expiration date on the material.  I'm not going to say we're perfect in that regard as we've written a lot of subdivision posts that have "dated" material.  E.g. "The last three sales of 2011 were from $259,633 to $451,750".  We just made it pretty obvious that we haven't touched that post in a year or two to any … (33 comments)
