On March 27, 2023, The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that the U.S. house price higher 0.2% in January of 2023 from December of 2022, and gained 5.3% from January of 2022, based on home sales values obtained from mortgages sold to or guaranteed by FNMA and Freddie Mac.
Nationwide, among nine census New England Divisions was highest with an increase of 2.0%, and Pacific Division was lowest with a loss of 0.2% in January of 2023 from December of 2022; while the South Atlantic Division was the highest with jump of 9.8%, and Pacific Division was the lowest with a loss of 1.5% in January of 2023, from January of 2022.
