When the sun sets in Flower Mound, there's an afterglow effect that paints the Town softly. This photo was taken Sunday evening around 8:00 p.m. I was facing Timber Creek Elementary School and just pulled over to enjoy the peaceful view.
Tiger Field in Flower Mound where the children play baseball was quite peaceful in the afterglow. I'm sure the children were beginning to settle in for the night. The street's nightlight left a nice glow while the white puffy cloud passed by slowly.
I liked how this light post cast a golden arch across Timber Creek Road while in the distance the moon on September 24th was in the Waxing Gibbous phase just above more clouds. Notice the plane above the clouds and the moon? Not a bad shot, if I say so myself as the mind wonders up in the sky to enjoy and know "the distance from earth to the moon is only 368,137.32 km and the moon sign is Capricorn."
This shot was taken two minutes before the afterglow photos. As you can see, a lot can change in a minute or two. It is where I parked my car to see a streak of pastel pink thinking about how quickly summer went and now it is Autumn. Soon the leaves will turn colors. Change is quick!
