Grateful for My Family
The Thanksgiving holiday is the most traveled holiday of the year. It is the one time of year when people will take planes, trains, and automobiles to get home to spend quality time with those they love. It is a holiday of family and even occasionally a few close friends that are like family.
In our house, today 4 generations at the tables and have a few minutes for the patriarch, Dad who passed this past January from COVID pneumonia.
With the addition of spouses, and then children and ultimately a few grandchildren out group will be almost 20 this year and of course the meal will be impressive for its lovingly prepared dishes
We enjoy the times together and even as the obligations of each continue to grow the special days still carry the special meanings. For this gathering no one will have traveled any more than 10 miles so the drives are all safe.
I do wish a Happy Thanksgiving to my ActiveRain family and a hope for better days and peace and love to all.
This is a post for 3 for the November Gratitude Challenge hosted by Debe Maxwell.
