Many of us here on Active Rain are proud of our grandchildren. It is such a delight to see them as they grow up.
The feature picture is our daughter Ashley proudly posing with her boys--our grandsons. Max is a firefighter for Halloween and Teddy is a dalmatian. Ashley and Tom celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary on November 4th. As Ashley wrote on her Facebook page, what we wished and prayed for has come true. As parents and grandparents that message was very touching.
Max was born during the pandemic but soon got acquainted with his cousins and made an number of friends in Ashley's mom's club. He got plenty of attention and we read him many books. Max can't sit still and loves to work with his dad and his grandfathers. They just had a sprinkler system installed at their house and Max tried to help by digging. He said to me, "Grandpop, scoop." My sister commented that that was me when I was a little boy.
And then came Teddy!
Teddy looks up from tummy time and says, "Happy Halloween."
Teddy was born June 2022. Ashley and Tom prepared Max for months. Max had a baby doll with a toy bottle. We read him books about a new baby coming. So he was excited when "baby brother" come home from the hospital. Max loves him and we love watching both of them together.
This is my first gratitude challenge entry into the Thanksgiving challenge hosted by Debe Maxwell, CRS .
