I am truly grateful for my husband!

I am truly grateful for my husband! 

I am sticking with the truly grateful theme on the Thanksgiving grateful contest! 

I met my husband in 2003 at the apartments I was living in. I was working on the weekends in the office showing apartments & accepting rent payments. I was going through a divorce ( being honest here! ) and I was not sure the direction my life was going. 

Well this handsome man came in one afternoon to pay his rent and he said "Well who are you?" And from then on he came in every weekend bringing me lunch & we started to get to know each other. 

Fast forward a few years, we got married on May 27th, 2005. I was without a job, had two teenagers & an almost teenager. I can't believe he wanted to marry me!! During this time I was getting my real estate license. I went to work at the local RE/MAX office where I sold 12 houses in my first 5 months. Needless to say he said "This might work! " lol  

He was working for a large communications company at the time and heard they were laying off. At this same time, I started getting a lot of homes that people decided to rent because they did not have enough equity. So he got his real estate license and once he did get laid off he became an agent too! We built a property management company which he still runs today. 

Fast forward to 2022, we have been working together since 2006. People always ask how do we do it? The answer is simple: SEPERATE OFFICES! Working with your spouse does have challenges but it is rewarding to be your own boss. It takes a lot of prayer too and we are at the alter every Sunday.
