Thankful for Laughter
For the November AR Challenge Debe Maxwell, CRS asked us to write about those things we are grateful for. No doubt the gratitude list is long for each of us, and can easily exceed the 1 post per week that’s allowed.
So how does one decide?!
I wanted to write about something a little different, and not a topic I’ve written about before…so here it is.
I really like to laugh. Whether it’s something that I see, or hear, or read, or something from me personally, it makes me feel good. No, great! How about you?! I’m thankful for a good laugh…any time!
“Laughter is the best medicine in the world”
~ Milton Berle ~
I truly believe this. It’s not just the physical changes that occur when you laugh (those endorphins they talk about that change how you feel), but it impacts you emotionally.
A good laugh can make you forget, perhaps briefly, about what was troubling you at the moment. It can take away anxiety and fear. It can ease your tension, and brighten a gloomy or disappointing day.
A good laugh is a pleasurable feeling, and it’s contagious. Don’t you often find that to be true?!
“A good time to laugh is anytime you can!”
~ Linda Ellerbee ~
Let’s face it, you feel good when you laugh, whether it’s about yourself or something someone has shared or done. It might be a joke someone told, a funny photo, a hilarious video, or a comedy routine. It could be an AR post, or a comment…or a real estate situation.
“A day without laughter is a day wasted.”
~ Charlie Chaplin ~
And the ability to laugh is something we share as humans, across all cultures I think! People enjoy sharing things with others that make them laugh.
“I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t laugh!”
~ Maya Angelou ~
I’m grateful for a good laugh, and for those that make me laugh. Bring it on…any time!
