The June 2023 Challenge: Artificial Intelligence at Home/Work" is a wrap! Thank you to all who participated. We had a total of forty entries, and here is some information about those entries:
The entries were split among those that were positive about AI, those that were negative, and those that suggested there were both positive attributes as well as challenges. Each of those categories represented about a third of respondents.
I was happy to see creativity and humor made it to the challenge!
There was Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 's humorous take on what happens when buyers choose AI assistance over human real estate assistance.
Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 's version included flying cars, gift buying reminders and a drop down to a store to pick up wine for dinner.
And Anna Banana Kruchten Phoenix Broker is living with an AI Genius! Can you imagine?
Katerina Gasset wants an AI helper to make smoothies and do the laundry. She also, with great timing during AI Challenge month, provided all sorts of information about AI tools on our weekly Zoom call. (Thank you)
And then there's George Souto who would love AI to help him improve his golf swing. And he's also another vote for cars that fly as well as teleporting! Long distance travel will be a thing of the past!
And then we have Debe Maxwell, CRS and Aura Alex who have provided help for us in terms of a home maintenance AI bot and an Agent X-TREME to help us with real estate stuff.
I'm not sure how many people I can tag in one post, so I'll stop with the tagging there!
In terms of liking things that are already provided via AI, Brian England loves his Boy-Blue car, Hannah Williams is a fan of the Robot Vacuum and Siri, John Henry used AI to write positive review of his friend’s writing and to make youtube videos.
In terms of concerns about AI, there are many which range from the "dumbing" down of humans to security issues, loss of free will, harm to people, misunderstanding human language/jargon (i.e., Faye's example of Crew's Missiles), eliminating the ability to be creative and more. Oh and what about Wanda's story about Bob Ross the painter becoming a real estate agent - how would you know this wasn't true except for reading Wanda's disclosure at the end?
One more tag - I've got to reward Jeff Masich-Scottsdale AZ Associate Broker,MBA,GRI with the "Creepy" Award for his idea that our garden gnomes can listen to everything we say. That suggestion creeped me out!
I have not mentioned all 40 entrants but please know every single entry was fun to read, and I thank you all for participating! And I wonder what advances or changes will be made in the next year, and how we'll all feel about AI by then. Time will tell!
