Thanks, Kat Palmiotti - I was on a motivational mission yesterday!! I couldn't decide which quote I was going to write about so, I turned them all into one! LOL

I'm the same way, Rocky Dickerson - and the funny thing is, that you don't realize it until it's long since done and something comes back to you!

I'm a Virgo, Chris Ann Cleland and while I don't live my life by my horoscope, I always enjoyed reading the occasional horoscope and descriptions given to Virgos. Perfection is one 'trait' that seems to always be used to describe Virgos and I have found that to be one of my biggest faults. It slows me down!

Several years ago, I made an enormous effort to overcome my perfectionism. I did a great job but, on occasion, it will raise it's ugly head and I have to be consciously aware and stop. Behaviors are like habits -  if you work hard enough, you CAN quit them! LOL

I know exactly what caused it and it really had nothing to do with my horoscope either! 🙃

I've had managers like that, Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - most of them in my past profession (nursing). In RE, I think it's prevalent because of our highly competitive field - we cannot let someone be 'better' than us! 

I told someone a story the other day about one of my 'pupils.' She came to me to ask what she could do to build her business. I taught her how to dominate her OWN neighborhood. She is THE dominant agent there and has been for a few years.

I opened the mail the other day and pulled out one of my local 'top producer' magazines and there was my beautiful agent - on the COVER! You should have seen me running around the house, flailing my arms - just SO thrilled for her. She worked hard for it - I couldn't be more proud! She is now running her own brokerage, still dominating her neighborhood. Did I say, I couldn't be more proud?!

Well, thank you and I was also brought up to value every single opportunity to learn, Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker. It's so healthy to challenge yourself - it's good for 'growth!'

We are just too cool geeks, Kathy Streib! At least that's how I prefer to think of us! LOL

And, yes, getting past chasing perfection is a work-in-progress but, it is so very liberating when you can get past it!

LOL I know, right?! I don't think there is even a remote possibility for perfection but, so many of us give it our all to be perfect. It's really a terrible trait, in my opinion! And, thank you, Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD!
