If you have not yet had this experience, you may benefit from the information in this post. If you wear glasses, you may also need to have a form from from you eye examination. My optometrist completed my form.

The City’s draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 is now available for review. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) recipients to report on the use of the funds and to make that report available to the community prior to submission to HUD. The City will accept comments until September 24. All comments received will be summarized and included in the final report submitted to HUD. Now in its 28th season, the Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival has become a much-anticipated holiday tradition for families in the Washington area. A portion of the revenue from the Festival benefits charities that help hundreds of people in the Gaithersburg community. In anticipation of the 2023 event, qualified nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations are invited to apply now for beneficiary status. The application deadline is Friday, October 6. Helping Older Adults Stay Safe During Emergencies
In recognition of National Preparedness Month in September, the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (OEMHS) and Montgomery County Recreation have teamed up to help educate older adults on the importance of preparing for natural disasters, catastrophic events and other emergency situations. The County’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) will also participate in the events.
