Well, I wish it was a million dollars. Yes, that is for sure. But, no, this is a different million that we all look forward to here in the Active Rain Community. As of this blog being published, I have surpassed the million points mark.
I can remember managing a small run down Realty World office way back in February of 2011. I had high dreams of recruiting great agents. Unfortunately the broker was investing a lot of capital into short sales and flips. And so, the office continued to look run down and tired. It was my first time working for a broker that didn't want to spend money to make their office dazzle. I found the Active Rain community then and they helped to lift my spirits and keep me motivated.
During that time, I found many friends in the A R community. A few of which I have met here in Las Vegas when they came through looking for a good time (don't worry Ray Maxwell, I won't give details here - LOL).
Personally, I like how the pandemic made us pivot here and do regular Zoom meetings. I have learned so much from those Zoom meetings and have been lucky to speak on about 5 of them, I believe.
So, what does all this mean? A free listing? A new car? No, not even a moon pie and an R C Cola. But the friendships I have through here are far more valuable anyways. If you were a part of my million point journey, thank you.
