Tuesday in Choose Day - Choose Happiness

By
Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

Tuesday is Choose Day. Today I choose to navigate through life towards happiness. Some people may think money leads to good fortune and good fortune leads to happiness. While the tides can turn when money flows, there is no guarantee. There is a tide to every turn. A tide can wash us up high and dry leaving us in tears. How long does money and happiness last? Nobody knows.

I learned early on that life holds no guarantees. Your life history requires a special kind of thinking. Challenges and opportunities are part of life. A graduation diploma may or may not lead to your forever job with never ending happiness. There isn't a child I know that says when I grow up, I want to be a failure, get married, have a divorce, be abused, lose a spouse through death, buy a house I can't afford and let it go into foreclosure. Nope. I never met a child saying I want to live a life of misery.

As I navigated through life as a REALTOR®, I met so many people.  Single. Married. Widowed. Couples. Families with children. Elderly. Sick and healthy. Each one I met strived towards happiness. Believing in opportunities propels us to go forward. Take chances. Trust. Believe that happiness is possible.

Be cautious in your judgements. Prospective buyers and sellers must strive to be clear about what they need, want, and can afford. Be logical and fair with others and be realistic with your life goals. Judge and choose wisely.

Choose happiness, wisdom, and strive to live life fully. Wisdom can make your life pleasant and lead you safely through it. Those who become wise (have happiness); wisdom will give them life. ---Proverbs 3:17 - 18.

I choose happiness, too.  How could I not be happy?  I am off to the pickleball courts!!!  It would only be better if I could get Brian England to join me, but he continues to be less happy with his #NoPickleballforBrian 🤣

Have a happy day, Patricia!  (ps-don't worry too much about Brian.  He has plenty to keep himself happy!)

Ray Henson - Without a shadow of a doubt, I know you choose happiness by the way you live your life. You adopt children and raise them with love! You travel the world and you proudly smile with the woman you love! You take chances and try something new, like Pickleball and you stick with it! Plus you recently relocated and even when the weather is hot, and business is not so hot, you STILL choose to be happy!

I don't worry about you. And I don't worry about  Brian England at all. He has a mind of his own. Even though I don't play Pickleball, and I would feel embarrassed playing against pros, I would still play Pickleball with you because it would be fun to hang out with a friend, even if they were better at the game of Pickleball than me (never tried it) and I would still cheer them on, whether that be on the court or inside trying my best to learn but more importantly I would love to share my camaraderie with you and others I socialize with on ActiveRain.

Michael Jacobs - your comment touched my heart. Yes! Yes! Yes! ActiveRain is very useful and meaningful. I agree, it is continuing education! Isn't it funny how we are all geographically closer, just because of our participation? Now if I hear on the news, a city mentioned, such as Pasadena, I think of you! A few days ago, Long Island made my local headlines. Of course, I thought of Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400. When I hear the word pickleball, I think of Ray Henson! And when I learn hurricanes are coming, I think of all the people we know on ActiveRain who may be impacted, and I worry and pray for them.

This platform has a plethora of education and some of the finest people on this planet, especially you, Michael.

I just spent the last couple of weeks getting up very early to coach my sister and her friend in pickleball.  It was really fun and met some other very giving people on the courts while doing it.  I think that is one of the things I like most about pickleball.  Almost everybody is happy!

I just wish that I would have noticed how close I was to you on that trip to Dallas, so we could have met instead of just chatting on the phone.  I should have paid attention better in my geography classes.  😉

Ray Henson - I thnk of ActiveRain as continuing education.  Not only of the real estate variety but of a more global aspect too.  I think I have a better understanding of our country's geography because of membership.  There's a full curriculum of subjects available unknown to me upon signing up on this platform.

I have learned more about geography on this platform than anywhere else, Michael Jacobs.  It makes me want to spend a lot more time traveling and also meeting my ActiveRain friends.  I hope to get to Pasadena to meet you and the Dallas area again to meet Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP.  So many things to do, so little time (and maybe money 😜).

Hello Patricia - I like the route you took with this post.  Although I am certainly not sea-worthy with boating of any type lingo, you lured me with your feature photo and opening statements.  Eaxh points you make is thoughtful too.  And that makes a difference too as this post lands at its destination for me.

I am glad that you and Ray Henson aren't worried about my happiness since you have met me in person and know that I am quite happy in life!  I wouldn't be happy playing pickleball, but I would indeed be happy watching the two of you playing and having fun!  #NoPickleballForBrian

Ray Henson - Thank you for your wonderful comments, especially about the news that you are now coaching your sister and her friend in pickleball. How wonderful!!! I heard that the people who learn the most are the ones that teach. Good for you, Ray! You can remain a happy man and make others happy too!

Listen Ray, don't beat yourself up because you didn't meet me in person. I still remember the day I was sitting on a big rock in Oak Point, waiting because the roofers were driving me nuts at home! Although, it would have been nice to meet you in person, your telephone call was like a gift. On that day, I had someone to talk to without hearing the pounding on my roof!

I understand traveling doesn't always allow us to do all the things we'd like to do. It was still good of you to call, and I have no regrets that we couldn't meet, when you were so close. Please, think nothing of it.

Today and always I wish great things for you, success, and happiness.

Michael Jacobs - WOW! Thank you for your comment. I will take it as a compliment.

We are all navigators, in one way or another trying to solve problems, discover something new, and to help celebrate others' success.

You are a great supporter and you have many, many followers. You have a lot to be proud of.

Nina Hollander, Broker - I gave up a long time ago, wishing and hoping for things that could never be. There are days when I feel like quitting AR and then I read something good, educational, or happy, and I stick around for one more day.

We really, really are in the people business. Being in this business can be very, very lonely.

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP all I can say is that my being AR has nothing to do with my sense of self-worth. It's here and I participate from a business perspective and I don't look for more. If I get more it's a bonus.

George Souto - sometimes I think to myself, the people who complain the most are the loneliest and saddest of all. Perhaps they think complaining gives them a voice of authority? Unfortunately, that type of voice turns people further away.
