When does MONEY come before WORK?

 

Why, in the dictionary, of course!

 

There might be a few exceptions, like; a hefty fortune left to a loved one, winning the state lottery or a financial gain by ill-gotten activities. Despite the promises of being given everything right now, by the powers that be, nothing is FREENothing! Someone else always pays the price.

 

Entitled, lazy people are singularly self-absorbed. Their view of the world is all me-me and less for everyone else with little regard or empathy for their impact on others. That type of behavior comes with every profession, walk of life and my opinion is based on past work experiences.

 

Earning a living is much different than collecting a paycheck for little or no effort. Back, before becoming an agent, I remember when the company owner's daughter got caught sleeping beneath a desk by a supervisor. Boy, was she mad that her favorite hidey-hole was finally discovered!

 

No time to remain still when practicing real estate, despite what some may think. This is a cyclical industry and if people really knew what goes on behind the scenes to ensure client success, they may learn to appreciate the many hours and hard work that goes into every sales transaction.

 

Since the beginning, I have enjoyed what the industry offers and respect the agents with whom I have conducted business. As a mass, we can change consumer opinions one client at a time, enough to make a positive difference. Client satisfaction has and always will be my greatest goal.

 

Some advice to new agents (and a reminder for all):

  • Be present. Attend open houses with clients. We are hired to help guide and if owners/buyers get to talking, negotiation power may disappear.

  • Make yourself available. Buyers and sellers are depending on you to effectively navigate through the in's and out's of the real estate process.

  • Use sincere intent. Practice follow through for the people who are investing in one of the biggest financial commitments of their lives. 

 

While a few people may push the boundaries of good business practices, honest and ethical agents show up in-force everyday for clients because the only time MONEY comes before WORK is in the dictionary.

 

You can bank on that!

Haha! Yes, George could have possibly saved her the embarrassment of being found out! We know and understand what it takes to get to the finish line with clients but those looking for easy money, find themselves out of the industry fairly quick, Erik Hiss!

Far too many green agents wash out early as the rewards they expected to gain are not like fresh low hanging fruit on a tree.  Someone has to maintain that tree to pick those low hangers.

Money is necessary to buy or grow food, to shelter and clothe ourselves, raise children, to have fun and to purchase the comforts of life, that is true, Brian England. If someone puts money above servicing the clients wants and needs to the highest degree, they can leave the industry, that's not how it works!

I work to help people. I stay for the money. Not every day is money. Every day is about helping people.  Some days that turns into money so we can care for our responsibilities.
